Medium-weight, stretchy boiled loden made of virgin wool and a high-necked, tight fit at the neck and chest ensure a secure connection for natural perspiration. The optimized fit is suitable for all pony figures and makes it easy to put on. Why Do I Need A Cooler Rug?

Every horse has an unique sweat pattern. While most horses sweat particularly on the chest, there are also horses that sweat further up the neck. The extra neck piece in combination with the Cooler Rug WOOL is perfect for these horses.

It also helps to wick moisture away from the neck area, enabling safe, even drying. This prevents tension and colds caused by draughts. Icelanders with a shearling coat can also dry even faster this way

Wool regulates temperature, retains heat, is breathable, dirt-repellent and increases well-being. It is easy to clean and maintain. Due to its protein structure, it also absorbs odors and has an antibacterial effect.

Wool is extremely breathable, i.e. it absorbs water vapor from the body and releases it to the fabric surface. Wool fibers can absorb more than 30% of their own weight in moisture without feeling wet. This makes wool as a Cooler Rug extremely absorbent.

Wool is thermoregulating, this means the horse does not get too warm or too cold when it is worn, and it does not stimulate additional sweating. Wool can keep you warm even when wet.

A horse blanket made of wool rarely needs to be washed It is happy if it is aired regularly and if you ensure that it is dried properly. If you want to wash it, you can put it in the washing machine at 30 degrees on the wool cycle. However, hand washing is even safer. We recommend this once a season.

Cooler Rugs, Rain rugs, saddle pads made of wool, softshell and fleece. Sensible cuts with a functional fit especially for Icelanders.
